How Do We Become Known By Love?

1. We Learn What Love Does

- 1 John 3:11-15 (NIV)

- It may cause controversy.

- Genesis 4:1-12 (NLT)

- It may bring contention.

- John 7:7 (NIV)

- John 15:18 (NIV)

- It will change your character.

2. We Learn What Love Is

- 1 John 3:16-20 (NIV)

- It is sacrificial, compassionate, and confident.

- 1 Cor 13:1-7

Love:

- is more important than what you do

- is not just about doing good things

- is not just about knowing or giving

- is patient

- is kind

- is not jealous

- is not boastful

- is not proud

- is not rude

- is not selfishly demanding

- is not irritable

- does not keep a record of wrongs

- does not rejoice about injustice

- rejoices when truth wins

- never gives up

- never loses faith

- always hopes

- always endures

3. We Learn Who Love is.

- 1 John 3:21-24 (NIV)

- It is confessing, committed, and Spirit-empowered.
